| Role Summary/Purpose: | - Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. - Select suppliers through qualification processes. - Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. - Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. - Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures to enable sourcing execution. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. - Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. - SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors. - Aid in supplier approval process -manufacturing, technology, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) risk analysis. - Understand strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives under supervision. - Lead and verify the Corrective Action implementation for non-conforming materials. - Work closely with buyers, engineering and manufacturing to deliver the result. - Alternatively: executing routine but complex analysis. Signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements. - Contributes to project as a team member. |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university - Engineering background - Hands-on experience in sourcing and practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure. - Supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience preferred. |
