Role Summary/Purpose: Operational Excellence is a new way for GE Power to engage customers. Focused on driving meaningful customer outcomes, Operational Excellence consists of software & hardware based solutions that drive customer
priorities such as Reducing Production Costs, Improving Reliability & Optimizing Asset Capability. The M&D Center Leader work with Sales, Product Management, & Engineering teams ranging from software sales support to on-site customer adoption.
Essential Responsibilities: Take lead of a a subject matter expert team in power plant operations, you will leverage your leadership and expertise to:
- Drive development and deployment of state of the art software to designed to drive M&D Center establishment and operations
- Identify customers that can benefit the most from M&D Center
- Work closely with Region Sales teams to drive software solutions Sales
- Conduct site assessments and coordinate preparations for the implementation of software solutions
- Lead Adoption Services efforts, including training and process re-engineering to drive software utilization in customers’ organization
- Work with Product Management teams to understand where GE solutions exist and where external solutions are required to drive M&D Center
- Identify areas where GE should invest in NPI to expand software solutions
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 10 years in power generation industry, including combined cycle plant operation & steam/coal fire power plants
- Minimum 10 years in plant operations, maintenance or plant system designing experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
- Team management experience is much preferred

Desired Characteristics: - Ability to tell a complex story simply - Black Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification - Industry background in plant control systems - Strong analytical and organizational skills - Fleet level management experience - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong computer skills with analytic and presentation tools - Demonstrated ability to develop strategic vision and execute strategic plans - Ability to understand customer environment and work empathetically with customers - Prior experience working with customers who are adopting new software to run their operations - Prior experience working with customers with training for new software solutions
